Kimberly Tanya Thompson, 46, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
She was born March 30, 1966 in Port Huron to Gertrude and the late Charles Prater, Jr. and was a lifelong area resident.
Kimberly was a purchasing agent with Mueller Brass and a receptionist with Blue Water Professional Nursing. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and going to the casino.
She is survived by her mother, Gertrude Prater; a brother, Jeffrey Prater of Ontario, Canada; a sister, Vicki & Harold Peck of Powell, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Kierstyn and Corey Peck, Joseph, Melissa, Christine, Nicole, Jennifer, Jasmine, Isabella, Ian, Hunter and Cheyanne; aunts and uncles, Jackie & Jerry Prater, Gary & Mary Bressette, Daisy Bressette, Leslie & Linda LaVere, Marvin & Marilyn LaVere, Sharon Bass, Wayne & Arlene Prater and Hope & Don Waidelich; many cousins; her best friend, George Brown; and her adopted dog, Max. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Prater, Jr.; and her brother, Steven Prater.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday with a family visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Murray Shawnoo of Victorious Faith Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Jerry Jr. and Matthew Prater, Jerome Bressette, Virgil Bressette, Don Motock, Gary Bressette Jr., Bob Poisey and George Brown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family or Victorious Faith Church, Kettle Point, Ontario.
