Nancy L Rock

Nancy Lou Rock, 89, of Marysville, died Thursday, November 14, 2024.

She was born April 22, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Freeman L. and Ruth T. Dentel. She married William G. Rock on September 7, 1956 in Port Huron and they shared 63 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 11, 2020.

Nancy received a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Education Degree from Wayne State University. She spent her career teaching at St. Clair County Community College for 30 years until her retirement. Nancy was a longtime active member of First United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her greatest joy in life was her children and their families.

She is survived by five children, William F. (Carol) Rock, Michael D. (Roseann) Rock, Timothy A. (Julie) Rock and Heather A. (David) Rispler, Karee L. (Gene) Harrison; eleven grandchildren, Alexander (Sanne) Rock, William “Jordan” (Kayla) Rock, Meghan Rock, Joshua (Stacie) Rock, Thomas (Melissa) Rock, Max Rispler, Caleb Rispler, Kacie Rispler, Jessica (Brian) Hartl, Jacqueline Harrison and Robert Harrison; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cora, Brooklyn, Graham, Gavin, Miles, Linus William, Liam and Elyse; brother, Glen (Janet) Dentel; two sisters-in-law, Sally Wacker and Charlene (Doug) Ackerman; a brother-in-law, Lee Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Sue King, Beverly Weed, Bertrand Dentel, Dennis Dentel, Thomas Dentel, Quentin Dentel and Ruth Hoffman; and brother-in-law, Charles Rock.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 in First United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Drew Hart will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
