Neal H Smith

Neal Harry Smith, 84, of Port Huron, died Sunday, November 24, 2024.

He was born April 2, 1940 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late Neal and Savannah Smith. He married Betty L. Curry on February 4, 1967 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on December 14, 2007.

Neal was employed with Detroit Edison for 27 years prior to his retirement. He was also employed as a driver with Moran Motors. Neal enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Neal Smith Jr. and Sheldon Smith; grandson, Robert Barber; two step-daughters, Sheila and Annette Swift and their children; brother, Harlus (Armeta) Smith; several nieces and nephews including James (Rosa) Thomason and Cliff (Kristi) Thomason; special great niece, Melissa (Alphonso) Amos; cousin, Joan Lacy; and special friend, David Nichols. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Thomason; and brother, Leland Smith.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend David Nichols will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
