Robert Lyle Taylor, 73, of Fort Gratiot, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 28, 2024.

He was born on April 12, 1951 in Deckerville to the late James and Theresa Taylor. He married Kathleen Keifer on September 22, 1973 in Romeo.

Robert received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and spent his career as a Clinical Psychologist in St. Clair County in both the public and private sector. He retired from St. Clair County Community Mental Health after over 40 years in the mental health field. An avid sailor, he was a member of the Port Huron Yacht Club and sailed in the Port Huron to Mackinac Race for many years. He enjoyed listening to music, painting, creating stained glass, reading, cooking, acting with theater groups and coaching soccer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathleen; two children, Jennifer (David) Dennis and Brandon (Alison) Taylor; four grandchildren, Liam Dennis, Remi Dennis, Charlotte Taylor and Harper Taylor; six siblings, Diana (Phil) Weltin, George (Tammy) Taylor, Barbara Taylor, Joyce (John) Shetler, Phillip Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor; sister-in-law, Diana Taylor, two brothers-in-law, Randy Stomack and Karl (Carrie) Keifer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and David Taylor; sister, Kathy Stomack; and sister-in-law, Debbie Arntz.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. To send condolences, visit pollockrandall.com
