Donna Jean Beattie, 95, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
She was born November 3, 1929 in Port Huron to the late Carl and Estella Lewandowski. She married James W. Beattie on January 28, 1950 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1988.
Donna’s faith was very important to her and she was actively involved in the Marysville Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sunday School, and numerous charitable organizations. At the age of 64, her desire to serve others led her to pursue a nursing degree. She was a member of The Writers Club where she enjoyed reading and discussing. Above all, Donna’s family meant everything to her.
She is survived by her children, James (Nikki) Beattie, Marilee Gribbon, Barbara (Fred) Dugan and Harold Beattie; grandchildren, Jim (Mia) Beattie, Melissa (Robert) Gribbon-Boese, Jason Gribbon, Sean, Katie and Ryan Dugan; nine great grandchildren; sister, Ann Thomas; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steven Gribbon; daughter-in-law, Oytip Beattie; granddaughter, Angela Beattie; and five siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 in the Marysville Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Elder Gary Wesch will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
