Richard L Foltz

Richard Lee Foltz, 89, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

He was born March 18, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Alden and Margaret Foltz. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Morden on September 26, 1953 in Port Huron.

Richard was employed as a lineman at AT&T for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jackie; daughter, Cynthia (Rick) Dortman; three grandchildren, David (Cindi) Dortman, Dana Foltz and Christopher Foltz; two great grandchildren, Avery and Molly Dortman; two brothers, Reverend Darrell (Jan) Foltz and Raymond (Linda) Foltz; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Howe and Carmen Morden; brother-in-law, Chris Sosnowski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Russell Foltz; and four siblings, Claire Foltz, Phillip Foltz, Jane Sosnowski and James Howe.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 in St. Mary Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Mary Catholic Church.
