Helen M Brown

Helen Marcia Brown, 76, of Newport, and formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 16, 2024.

She was born October 27, 1948 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Denzil and Sarah Thieke and grew up in Port Huron, Michigan. She graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1966.

Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, and crafting. She worked various jobs to help support her family, but mostly enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her three children. Helen was a selfless, caring person who always put others first. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings and loved her grandchildren dearly.

Helen is survived by her children, Dennis C. (Melissa) Brown, Julie (Scott) Duffany, and Sarah Brown, and their father, Dennis F. Brown; grandchildren, Meghan, Joseph, Amber, Emily, Ashley, Mason, Evan, and Helena; brother, Don (Sally) Thieke; sisters, Barb (Roger) Hawker, Ruby (Ron) White, Ruth (Jerry) Currier, and Debbie (Dennis) Buchheister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Denzil and Sarah Thieke; and brother, Carl (Pam) Thieke. She will also be dearly missed by all her nieces, nephews, and countless other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Cremation will follow the services and burial will be with her parents at Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
