Mary J McTaggart

Mary Jane McTaggart, 88, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

She was born March 16, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Cal and Mabel Miller. She married Vincent F. McTaggart on October 15, 1955 in Sandusky. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1991 after 36 years of marriage.

Mary worked for her father, Cal Millers Fruit Market, and was also employed with Port Huron Hospital and Kroger. She enjoyed crafts, especially woodworking and painting, and participated in many craft shows over the years. Mary loved helping out with the Boy Scouts, being up north, fishing, sightseeing in the woods and mushroom foraging.

She is survived by her children, Vickie (Mark) Hewett, Raymond McTaggart, Vince (Glenda) McTaggart and Adam (Denise) McTaggart; grandchildren, Jonmarc (Jaclynn) Hewett, Katie Jo McTaggart, Raymond (Rebecca) McTaggart Jr., Matthew (Rebecca) McTaggart, Angie (Dan) Melton, Jennifer (Dan) Hart, Dale McTaggart, Justin McTaggart and Luke McTaggart; 14 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin McTaggart; and brothers, Charles, James and John Miller.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Brian Ake will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
