Betty J Schuman

Betty Jean Schuman, 83, of Burtchville Township, died Monday, January 6, 2025.

She was born October 5, 1941 in Jeddo to the late John and Ethel McIntyre. She married Robert A. Schuman on October 27, 1961 in Jeddo.

Betty graduated from Yale High School. She was a member of Lakeport Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed gardening and taking country drives with her husband. Family was especially important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert; children, John (Karen) Schuman, James Schuman, LuAnn Schuman and Linda (Matthew) Butler; grandchildren, Matthew (Alison) Schuman, Jeffrey Schuman, Josie (Dillon) Nays, Elishah Butler, Deacon Butler and Lucy Butler; great grandchildren, Robbie, Gabe and Lilly; brother, Sid McIntyre; and nephew, Dwight (Karen) McIntyre. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard McIntyre.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 in Lakeport Wesleyan Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Drew Mills will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeport Cemetery, Burtchville Township.
