Raymond H Johnsick

Raymond Harold Johnsick, 80, of Burtchville Township, died Friday, January 10, 2025.

He was born June 1, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Joseph A. and Dora E. Johnsick and graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1962. Ray went on to honorably serve in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Upon returning from the service, he started his apprenticeship with Pipefitters/Steamfitters Local 777 out of Port Huron which later merged with Detroit Pipefitters/Steamfitters Local 636, where he retired. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially trips to Montana. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Mike Kelly, Ed (Sandy) Johnsick, Brian (Leslie) Kelly, Christine Dluge (Steve Burton), John Johnsick (Linda Friks) and Rachael Francis; grandchildren, Dawn, Heather, Sierra, Tanner, Jace, Mikayla, Morgan, Benjamin and Isabella; great grandchildren, Kynnadi, Kinsley, Grayson, Jade, Jaelon, Zaiya and Niyah; siblings, Joe (Toni) Johnsick, Kathy (Bob) Plant, Joe (Marsha) Johnsick Rick (Rudi) Johnsick, Joe (Marsha) Godi, Rick (Rudi) Godi and Jim Godi; many nieces and nephews, some of whom he was especially fond of (you know who you are); his beloved hunting buddies; and dear friends, Markus and Julie Munger and their children, Jacob, Anthony, Markus and Marcel, who were Raymond’s godchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Kelly; and siblings, Joanne (Ed) Gundel, Ann (Mike) Booth, Mary (Ed) Finn and Mike (Nancy) Johnsick.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m. A livestream of the sharing will be available on Ray’s obituary page of the funeral home website.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Columbarium, Port Huron.
