Marion B Wilkinson

Marion Barbara Wilkinson, 98, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

She was born on January 17, 1927 in the family home in Port Huron to the late Andrew and Rose Balogh, who immigrated to the U.S. from Budapest, Hungary.

She married Edward “Jack” Wilkinson on June 19, 1948 in Port Huron and they raised five children. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1989 after 42 years together.

Marion graduated from Port Huron High School and Port Huron Business School. She then worked at Port Huron City Hall, Garwood Boats and Peoples Bank. After raising her family, she was employed with Warm World Children’s Center at the YMCA. Marion was a lifelong member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, past member of Willow Ridge Golf Course, past member of the YMCA, member of Port Huron Fitness Center and the Council on Aging.

Marion loved golfing, playing cards, swimming, gardening and was an avid reader. She was very proud of her Hungarian heritage and enjoyed making Hungarian food and found joy in telling stories. She especially treasured the time spent with her family and friends. Marion’s wish for others was to Love, Laugh and Pray.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Leon) Falk, Randy (Cathy) Wilkinson and Kirk (Kathleen) Wilkinson; daughter-in-law, Sue Wilkinson; grandchildren, David Wilkinson, Richard Cox (Kay Anglebrandt), Holly Okai, Craig (Denise) Falk, Kelley (Nick) Conrad, Ryan (Jennifer) Wilkinson, Rob (Ashley) Wilkinson, Katey Wilkinson, Ken (Kay) Dafoe and Shelly (Rob) Bayless; 18 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dan and Paul Wilkinson; siblings, Eleanor May, Andrew Balogh, Margaret Pappas and Helen Balogh; nieces, Connie Edie and Susan Thompson LaVere; and nephew, Bob Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Marion’s nephew, Brian Balogh will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Gratiot Township.
