Marcella D Prigmore

Marcella D. Prigmore, 86, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 27, 2025.

She was born March 4, 1938 in Mt. Hope, West Virginia to the late Elmore and Rachel Maxine Brooks.

Marcella received a nursing certificate and was employed at Barfield Manufacturing and as a lunch attendant at Garfield School for many years. She enjoyed, cooking, baking, doing arts and crafts, gardening, going to thrift stores and being by the water fishing and watching the freighters.

She leaves to mourn her passing eight children, Henrietta (Gene) Henderson; Linda Perrivyn, Charles Prigmore, Marcus Prigmore, Antonio Prigmore, Leon (Nicole) Prigmore, Patricia Prigmore and Eric Prigmore; granddaughter, Megan Prigmore, who she raised since she was one year old; 16 other grandchildren, Marcella (Travis) Hill, Rafiki Dixon, Hamin Dixon, Myya Henderson, Tamesha Rogan, Corey Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Crystal King, Carlena Thomas, Dalphenia Prigmore, Christian Prigmore, Leon Prigmore Jr., Brittany Prigmore, Antonio Prigmore Jr., Christopher Prigmore and DeShonda Dunaway; many great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Brooks and Doritha Wheeler; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; son, Joseph Prigmore; grandson, Joseph Prigmore; and brother, Willie Prichett.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Carl E. Miller Sr. will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
