Vincent T "Vinny" Buckles Jr.

Vincent Todd “Vinny” Buckles Jr., 35, of Port Huron, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

He was born April 6, 1989 in Port Huron to Vincent Buckles Sr. and Juanita Lee. As a young man he was always keeping busy and moving. He was active in football, basketball, wrestling and boxing.

Vinny graduated from Port Huron High School in 2007. After graduating, he moved to Nashville where he attended the Nashville Auto and Diesel College and became certified in autobody repair.

While in Nashville, his world changed forever. He welcomed a baby girl, Amya on February 14, 2012, then Chase on November 20, 2013 and Khamauri on May 19, 2016. Vinny loved his girls and would do anything for them. He enjoyed taking them places such as the beach, camping, a birthday or holiday party and even a volcano! He found a way to get his girls and get them to where they wanted to go. His least favorite word to tell his babies was “no”.

Vinny loved his friends and their families, or as he would call them, his “crew”. Not only would he do anything for them, they would do the same for him. He was a family man with a big heart. If you were his friend, you were family too! He was free spirited and generous to a fault. He never missed a family function on either side of the family and his “pop-up” visits were infamous. It didn’t matter where you lived or what might be going on in your world, he would always “pop-up” to visit.

His generous free spirit, comforting hugs and beautiful smile will be extremely missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Amya, Chase and Khamauri Buckles; parents, Vincent Buckles Sr. and Juanita Lee; sisters, Melanie Buckles and Courtney Buckles; brother, Lorenzo Buckles; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett and Sylvia Buckles and Charles and Shirley Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025 in All Nations Church of God in Christ with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Todd Lee and Tyrone Burrell will officiate.
