Betty M Durcan

Betty Marie Durcan, 84, of Marysville, died Thursday, February 20, 2025.

She was born January 16, 1941 to the late Jesse and Lorena Garlick. She married Frederick J. Durcan Jr. on July 29, 1961 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2008 after 47 years of marriage.

Betty graduated from Memphis High School and was employed with the Marysville School District for many years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed attending and volunteering with Blue Water Free Methodist Church and Harbor Impact Ministries. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Paul) Levandowski, Annette Durcan and Denise Hislop (Michael Wismer); son-in-law, Ted Edie; seven grandchildren, Drew (Jamie) Beaudry, Nick (Ana) Beaudry, Matt (Lauren) Beaudry, Jeremy Edie, Andrea Buhler, Gaby Edie and George Hislop (Sabrina Bahnweg; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patti Edie; son-in-law, George R. Hislop; and ten siblings.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Blue Water Free Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Michael Alexander and Reverend Randy Bennett will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.
