Barbara J Kraehling

Barbara Jean Kraehling, 77, of North Branch, died Saturday, February 22, 2025.

She was born June 3, 1947 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Marion Loxton.

Barbara was a life-long learner who earned her associate’s degree in horticulture from SC4 in 2001, proudly graduating alongside her daughter, Sherry. Throughout her life, she remained dedicated to helping others, volunteering with the Red Cross for many years.

She is survived by three children, Sherry Blais, Christina MacEwen and Shawn Knowles; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six siblings, Wanda Feick Chall, Duane Loxton, Donna Steward, Dennis Loxton, Delbert Loxton and Allan Loxton; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Knowles and John T. “Tom” Kraehling; and her son, William Knowles Jr.

Private family services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Cross or St. Clair County Community College.
