Clifford John McInnis, 86, of Marysville, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
He was born November 21, 1925 in Ray Township to the late John and Melissa McInnis. He married Frieda Stuever on September 13, 1952 in Capac. She died October 20, 1986. He married Beverly Thompson on February 24, 1990 in St. Clair.
Mr. McInnis was a research technician with General Motors. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of American Legion Marysville Post #449, Voiture 120 St. Clair County 40/8, Blue Water Shrine Club, a life member of Davis Lodge F. & A.M. and a former member of the Allied Veterans Firing Squad. He enjoyed caning chairs, computers, reading, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; four children, John (Deborah) McInnis, Scott (Joanne) McInnis, Cynthia McInnis and Clifford David McInnis; a stepdaughter, Cindy (Joe) Joachim; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Erika) McInnis, Elizabeth “Betsy” McInnis, Allison McInnis, Shannon Keefer, Nathan McInnis, Ryan McInnis, Joey, Chad and Cody Joachim; a great grandson, Ashley McInnis; a brother, William (Peggy) McInnis; a sister, Marion Parisi; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude McInnis and Martha McInnis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Timothy; and a sister, Jean.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Ray Township, Macomb County. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Area Humane Society.
