Virginia Grace “Gin” Behr Herman, 79, of Casco Township, passed away suddenly Sunday, February 23, 2025.

She was born July 11, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Walter and Grace Behr. She married Robert E. Herman on July 23, 1983 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2014.

Gin’s family was her world. She loved to say and had tattooed on her arm, “the kids have the key to my heart”, and they truly did. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the most important people in her life, followed closely by her sweet pug, Pudge. Gin was a social butterfly and thrived on the time she spent with her friends, whether it was playing poker or enjoying “girl’s night”.

She is survived by her children, Tammy (Matt) Barngrover, Gerald Hislop, Michelle (Keith) Holthus and Susan Hislop (Tony Spiliopoulos); step-children, Melanie (Jerome) Milne, Kim (Matt) Filarski and Matt Herman; grandchildren, Mark Cooper, Christin Cooper, Nicole Barngrover, Victoria Hollingsworth, Dustin Hislop, Brook Hislop, Eric Holthus, Brittany Hislop and Dionis Hislop; great grandchildren, Angel, Travis, Alenna, Zoey, Evalynn, Gerald, Robert, Michael, Wyatt, Daniel, Dillon, Daniella “Ella” and Tyler “Ty”; step-grandchildren, Perry and Zachary Herndon, Joseph, Thomas and Felicia Filarski, and Sunny Herman; sister, Patricia Moore; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marlene (Edwin) Grueber, Eugene (Sandra) Behr and Barbara (John) Olshove; brother-in-law, Basil Moore; and her beloved pug, Pudge.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
