Patricia Amon
Patricia Ann Amon, 92, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, March 1, 2025.
She was born August 4, 1932 in Marysville to the late Thomas and Viola Russel. She married Robert Amon on August 11, 1951 in Port Huron. He died in July, 1976.
Mrs. Amon was a graduate of Marysville High School and was employed in retail prior to retirement, including at C. Jerry, Jack Smith’s, Tractor Supply and Woolworths. She was an active member and past president of the V.F.W. May O’Brien Post #8465 Auxiliary. While living in England, Patricia saw the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953. She was a foster mom to five children. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, word search puzzles, reading and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by two children, Debbie McIntyre and Michael (Mary) Amon; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Williams, Robert Amon, Michelle Amon-Jenkins (Daniel Rosemier) and Stacy Carney Zebley; great grandchildren, Jasmine (Dakota) Sampson, Kyle Williams (Jasmine Amador) and MiKayla Amon; great-great grandson Sampson due in June; her lifelong friends who met monthly for lunch, Lois, Norma E., Phyllis and Norma H.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jean Amon, Jack (Shirley) Russell, Calvin “Pinky” (Dora) Russel, Lois (James) Wedge, Thomas “Ozzie” Russel, Dona Jean Russel and Maxine (Edward) French; and special nieces, Kimberly Wedge Trembath and Dona Russel Nabozney.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
