Norman C "Chris" Cunningham

Norman C. “Chris” Cunningham, 67, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

He was born June 24, 1957 in Port Huron to the late Norman Layle and Catherine Cunningham and was a lifelong area resident.

Chris graduated from Port Huron High School in 1975. He co-owned Sport Shop Toys in downtown Port Huron for many years. Some of Chris’ greatest enjoyments in life included his boat, “General C”, camping with family and many friends, playing hockey and coaching his sons’ teams throughout their childhood.

He is survived by his children, Caylee (Ben) Doherty, Max (Stephanie) Cunningham and Mitch Cunningham; grandchildren, Ciaran and Fiona Doherty; aunt, Kathy Cunningham; and two cousins, Becky Wrubel and Rich (Jeanne) Cunningham.

A private burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.
