Gary L Kenny

Gary Lee Kenny, 75, of Burtchville Township, died Sunday, March 16, 2025.

He was born November 1, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Elmer and Betty Kenny. He married Betsy A. Ignash on June 29, 1968 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2016 after 47 years of marriage.

Gary was a hard worker, often putting in 12-hour days as the owner of Pastime Hobbies for 15 years and co-owner of Hilltop Chrysler, Yale. Beyond his professional life, he was committed to his community, coaching Little League for 35 years. In his younger years, he had a passion for history and remained a lifelong learner. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader and was fascinated by archaeology.

He is survived by two sons, Jeffery Kenny and Stephen Kenny; four grandchildren, Andrew, Galen, Xander and Maxwell Kenny; and two great grandchildren, Greyson and Artemis Kenny. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who helped raise him, Albert and Marguerite Christner; and his brother, Paul Kenny.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A time of sharing will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Private graveside services will be held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron.
