Wayne P Melanson

Wayne Patrick Melanson, 86, of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, died Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

He was born July 13, 1938 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada to the late Eldred and Marie Melanson. After being together for 10 years, he married Corrine Bean in 2018.

Wayne was a self-employed barber for many years. He was a beloved lacrosse coach, inducted into the Sarnia Sports Hall of Fame in September 2018. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and wintering in sunny Terra Village, Florida. He especially loved spending time with family and friends, who meant everything to him!

He is survived by his wife, Corrine; three children, Guy (Lisa) Melanson, Lisa Clark and Jennifer Melanson (Nikki); four step-children, Carrie (Tom) Dunsmore, Charlie Bean, Tracy (Greg) Young and Ronnie (Allison) Bean; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Melanson; son-in-law, Jamie Clark; and his first wife, Lynne.

Burial will be in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
