Gordon R MacDonald

Gordon Roderick MacDonald, 74, of Port Huron, died Monday, March 24, 2025.

He was born December 28, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Alton and Betty MacDonald. He married Ruby, a longtime friend and they were married for five years before her passing in 2009.

Gordon was employed with Morton Salt and most recently USM, now Dana Incorporated. He enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino in Greektown. Gordon was a charmer, very outgoing and an animal lover. He especially loved his grandchildren and a good cup of coffee.

He is survived by his children, Gordon MacDonald Jr. (Jamie Jones) and Sonya (Kenneth) VanEenoo; grandchildren, Zachery (Katherine) Wilson, Catherine Becker and Josephine Kirchner; great grandchildren, “Zeek” Zecheriah and “Ella” Thyella Wilson; siblings, Judy Zeller, Larry MacDonald (Ardelle Kingsbury) and Jerry (Ernie) MacDonald; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his feline companions, Princess Snow and Cocoa Puff. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith MacDonald; and brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Zeller.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A time of sharing will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
