Linda S Kociemba

Linda Sue Kociemba, 75, of Fort Gratiot, passed peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025.

She was born December 31, 1949 in Ferndale to the late Roy and Florence Gandee. She married David Kociemba in January of 1995. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2010 after 15 years of marriage.

Linda was employed as a medical transcriptionist for many years prior to her retirement. She loved reading books and helping others who were going through hard times. Linda was headstrong, yet patient, and loved by everyone she met. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Matthew) Lause, Kendra Peirsel and Rebecca (Tim) O’Brien; grandchildren, Alexandrea (Jim) Wnuk, Aiden Whitenight, Hunter Whitenight, Kody Whitenight, Liam O’Brien, Madelyn O’Brien and Moira Jane O’Brien; one great grandchild, Harrison Wnuk; and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah (Sam) Hickmott.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
