Elsie M Van Camp

Elsie M. Van Camp, 84, of Smiths Creek, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

She was born July 4, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Eldon B. and Marie K. Van Camp.

Elsie was a graduate of Marysville High School and was employed with Women’s Life Insurance for 45 years. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Lohr; and eight nieces and nephews, Joanne Lamar, Lee Shimmel, Terri (Michael) Kimmerly, Marie (Ron) Smith, Robert (Beth) Hart, Judy (Robert) Pratt, Barbara Hart and Jan Lohr.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elinor L. (Willard G.) Shimmel and Ilif (Bernard) Hart; and brother-in-law, Harvey Lohr.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025 in First United Methodist Church. The Reverend Drew Hart will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
