Andrew Scott Dischinger, 36, of Oakdale Pennsylvania, formerly of Michigan, died Saturday, April 12, 2025.
He was born January 29, 1989 in Maplewood, Minnesota and was a 2007 graduate of Marlette High School. Shortly after graduation, Andrew joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served for 10 years. After his honorable discharge, Andrew worked in private security. He loved spending time with his son, being outdoors, and traveling. Andrew had a very intuitive and inquisitive nature. He enjoyed inventing, engineering, and tinkering with a variety of projects.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Benjamin; father, Randy (Dawn) Dischinger; mother, Sue Huggett; siblings, Nicholas (Rachael) Dischinger, Christopher (Katherine) Dischinger, Patrick (Amara) Dischinger, Elizabeth Huggett and Dow Huggett; grandparents, John and Rainier Dischinger and Nancy and Don Bridges; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bryan and Mary Macker; two sisters-in-law, Katy Kowaleski and Sydney Macker; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Marysville Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Mark Dischinger, Andrew’s uncle will officiate.
Burial will be at Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the family for Benjamin.
