Violet L Owens

Violet Lillian Owens, 93, of Port Huron, passed surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

She was born February 23, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Clarence and Mae Davis. She married Harold Owens on November 11, 1950 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2002 after 52 years of marriage.

Violet graduated from Marysville High School, then attended Saint Clair County Community College. She was employed as an LPN with Port Huron Hospital for 16 years. She enjoyed needle point, knitting, canning and gardening. Violet was active in her church, participating in bible studies and prayer meetings. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick (Linda) Owens and Gregory (Laurie) Owens; grandchildren, Kristin (Cody) Arnold, Cooper Owens (fiancée MacKenzie Harris), McKenna Owens, Conner Owens, Kaylee Owens, Lee (Lora) Owens and Steven (Sarah) Owens; and great grandchildren, Asa, Eli, Jameson, Ivy and Sage Owens, and Owen and Olivia Arnold. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Hattie, Betty, Dorothy, Eugene, Norman, Ray and Edwin.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pastor James Smith will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
