Jay M Fryer

Jay “Mark” Fryer, 61, of Marysville, died Friday, April 18, 2025.

He was born July 20, 1963 in Stanley, North Carolina to the late Wendell F. and Nancy L. Fryer. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1981 and Owens Technological College, both in Findlay, Ohio.

Mark worked as a supervisor for several plastics manufacturing companies. He was a car enthusiast who liked both classic and muscle cars, and really enjoyed time spent visiting car shows. He also had a lifelong love of heavy metal music and animals.

He is survived by four siblings, Lynn Sauceda, Lori (Bruce) Fox, Doug (Nancy) Fryer and Scott (Teresa) Fryer; a step-son, Lorne (Becca) Hlad; six nieces and nephews, Ryan (Whitney) Fox, Taylor Fox, Jessica Fryer, Hope Fryer, Nicholas (Hannah) Fryer and Christopher Fryer; seven great nieces and nephews; and his devoted dog, Barney.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 28, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Mark’s step-son, Rev. Dr. Lorne Hlad will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, Ohio.
