Frances M Conley

April 2nd, 1941 to April 22nd, 2025

Mrs. Frances Marie Conley, 84, of Marysville, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 due to complications from Alzheimer’s.

She was born on April 2, 1941, in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Walter and Barbara Perz. She married Alan R. Conley on June 15, 1963 in Marysville, He died on October 14, 2002, after 39 years of marriage.

Mrs. Conley was a 1958 alumni of St. Stephen High School and went on to pursue a career in teaching. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1962, after spending her summers packing pickles to pay for college. She taught in San Angelo, Texas while Alan was in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning home, she taught briefly in the Port Huron Area School District. Frances settled in and taught for 28 years in the Marysville Public Schools, 27 of those years at Gardens Elementary School. She retired from Marysville in 1998 as a beloved teacher and colleague.

Frances was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by them. She had a deep bond with her five sisters and each one meant the world to her.

Her grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews will remember the Easter egg hunts and scavenger hunts she planned for them. She loved making desserts to share. Frances enjoyed having lunch with her “Club” ladies, attending Town Hall Meetings and spending time at her place in Caseville, Michigan. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.

She is survived by her two children, David (Anna) Conley and Leanne (Clinton) Dobson; her grandchildren, Patrick Conley (Jocelyn Kipp), Marisa Conley, Tyler Dobson (Natalie Curley), Ryan Dobson and Erynn Dobson; her great-grandchildren, Ellyana Kipp and Everett Conley, all of whom brought her so much joy; her cherished sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Jasinski, Barbara (Calvin) Hensler, Joanne Bradford, Katherine (Ralph) Sharrard, and MaryLynn (Gary) Nabozny; her dear friend of 48 years, Carrie Jo Thomas-Kearns; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. In addition to her husband, Alan and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Leo Jasinski and Wayne Bradford.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Conley, Tyler and Ryan Dobson, Matt Evans, Chris Sharrard and Mark Bradford.
