Edward Lee Williams, 82, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

He was born March 19, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Lee and Catherine Williams. He married Gracenia Lott on May 12, 1973 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on November 17, 2022 after 49 years of marriage.

Ed honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a welder with Grand Trunk Railroad for many years. Ed had a passion for photography and used those skills at the family business and as a teacher at Port Huron High School and Baker College. He was devoted to his faith and spent many years in community ministry and stayed involved in the church.

He is survived by two children, Deborah Nichols and Edward (Ashley) Williams Jr.; six grandchildren, Martin Nichols Jr., Jillian Nichols, Lexy Williams, Amaya Williams, Kayla Ford and Alex Ford; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Reva Heard and Marion “Penny” Williams; brother, Gary Williams and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter Venita Ford.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend David Nichols will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
