Lois M Koschnick

Lois Marie Koschnick, 104, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

She was born August 31, 1920 in Port Huron to the late Henry and Grace Arnold. She married Albert A. Koschnick on April 5, 1941 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2003.

Lois enjoyed being in the outdoors surrounded by nature. Her adventurous spirit was evident by her love of mountain climbing, backpacking and hiking in the desert. Her family will fondly remember the three times she participated in the Port Huron Float Down while in her 90’s.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Bob) Hilgendorf and Joan Keeter; three step-grandchildren; three great step-grandchildren; four great-great step-grandchildren; one great-great-great step-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betsy (Bill) Fortner; son-in-law, DeWayne Keeter; brothers, Wilbur, Chet, Grant and Bill Arnold; sister, Florence Smith; and step-granddaughter, Kelly Kalp.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025 in St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 7155 Huron Ave., Lexington, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Christopher David Jung will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
