Lorraine E May

Lorraine Elva May, 96, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, June 8, 2025.

She was born October 31, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Sophia Penzenhagen. She married Howard A. May on March 9, 1947 in First Presbyterian Church, Port Huron. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2001.

Lorraine graduated from Port Huron High School in 1946. She was employed as a bus driver with the Port Huron Area School District for 25 years and retired in June of 1985. She was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel, Michigan Association for Family and Community Education, D.A.V. Chapter #12 Auxiliary, First Families of Michigan, and long-time member of Ross Bible Church. For many years she taught Child Evangelism (CEF) and Sunday School.

She is survived by her children, LaCinda (Randy) Anderson, Ron (Christine) May and Robert (Marilyn) May; grandchildren, Thad Anderson, Nicole (Derek) Dutt, Andrew (Victoria) May, Jeremiah (Miriam) May, Amy (David) Martin, Christian (Divine) May and Katherine (Walter) Janowski; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Phillips and Ruth Blackman.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Ross Bible Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Steve Scott will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Pallbearers will be Lorraine’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.
