Albert D "Sonny" Gonzales

Albert Daniel “Sonny” Gonzales, 76, of Port Huron, died on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

He was born August 27, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Beulah Gonzales. He married Barbara Hill on September 14, 1984 in Port Huron.

Albert honorably served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War and was employed at Ferguson Steel prior to his retirement.

Albert enjoyed playing the lottery, and going to the Eagles, where he was a member. He loved being outside. He especially cherished time spent with his family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and walking his dog, Mocha.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; son, John (Katrina) Hill; grandchildren, Kayla Ramirez and Nachole Hill, and their mother, Michelle (Mark) Smith, and Caleb Hill; great-grandchildren, River Hisscock and Kyler Green; sister, Diane (Wayne) Augusta; sister-in-law, April Dickinson; brother-in-law, Kevin (Joy) Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Gonzales; sister, Susan Esseltine.

Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Allied Veterans Honor Guard at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery.
