Geraldine "Geri" A. Hengehold

Geraldine “Geri” Anne Hengehold, 82, of Marysville, died Friday, July 11, 2025.

She was born February 14, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Leonard and Sophie Knaus. She married Donald J. Hengehold on June 13, 1964 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2005.

Geri graduated from Southeastern High School in Detroit. She worked various jobs over the years including Waltham Pharmacy, Mario’s Meats and was a talented candy maker. Geri was crafty and enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and making quilts. She also loved to cook and read. Geri was lovingly known as being feisty and when she needed to be, stubborn.

She is survived by her daughters, Anne (Thomas) Zerbst, Amy (David) Hengehold and Suzy (Hans) Mollon; grandchildren, Thomas, Brittney (DJ), Austin (Brenna) and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Donna Cienciera. She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Wenson.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
