Rosemary H Schott
Rosemary Hannah Schott, 90, of Port Huron, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Rosemary was born September 6, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Frank and Golda Reckker. She married John Schott on September 13, 1952 in Port Huron. John preceded her in death on November 4, 2002 after 50 years of marriage.
Rosemary was a graduate of St. Stephen High School. She worked as a hatchery manager for over 25 years for Conrad Hatchery.
She cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved traveling to visit her relatives. She also loved a fierce card game.
Rosemary and John loved to canoe and would do weekend trips where they would camp as a family.
She is survived by her children, John (Sandra) Schott, Joseph (Lori) Schott, Nancy (Ed) Johnson, Patrick (Karen) Schott, Kay Smith, Mary (Rock) Campbell, Thersa (Rick) James, and Judy (Joseph) Blake; daughter-in-law, Chris Schott; 41 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick (Gene Ruehl) Reckker; and three sisters-in-law, Ann Conrad, Rose Sheldon and Barb Reckker. She was preceded in death by her sons, Thomas and Douglas Schott; son-in-law, Mark Smith; three sisters, Beatrice Reckker, Eleanor Hendershot and Madeline Watkins; and two brothers, Thomas Reckker and Frank Reckker.
An open-house gathering will be held on September 6, 2025, her 91st birthday from 1-5 p.m. at 5980 Log Cabin Lane, Clyde, MI 48049.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
