Barbara A Davis
Barbara Ann Davis, 83, of Clyde Township, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
She was born October 9, 1941 in St. Clair to the late George and Myrtie Thompson of Smiths Creek. She married Raymond H. Davis on April 15, 1961 in the Marysville Free Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2013.
Barbara attended Kimball schools and graduated from Marysville High School in 1959 where she was in the National Honor Society. She graduated from St. Clair County Community College with honors, being awarded the Del Blessinger Outstanding Student Award. She was a registered nurse at Port Huron Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 2004. She also worked for 2 years at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs early in her career while her husband was in the service.
Barbara enjoyed playing the piano, bowling, figure skating, fishing, traveling, gardening, and working on crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. Barbara formerly taught a Sunday School Class at the Little Kimball Church in Kimball, Michigan and later at the North Hills Church of the Nazarene in Clyde Township, Michigan. She was always active in her children’s activities, serving as den mother, girl scout leader, and figure skating, hockey, baseball and soccer mom. Barbara and Raymond loved to travel, taking several cruises and bus trips to visit family. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and many friends.
She is survived by three children, Robert Davis, Richard Davis and Rachelle (Jack) Nogueira; three grandchildren, Hunter Davis and Isabelle and Luke Nogueira; two sisters, Judy (Jim) Kzinowek and Diane (Dan) Hickey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Nogueira.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend James Smith of Columbus Bible Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
