Robert L "Bob" Krohmer
Robert Lloyd “Bob” Krohmer, 99, of Port Huron, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Bob was born May 2, 1926 in Kingsford, Michigan, to the late Victor and Isabelle Krohmer. He married Juanita Johnson on September 27, 1952 in Iron Mountain. She preceded him in death on January 4, 1996 after 43 years of marriage.
Bob graduated from Kingsford High School and honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. He then went on to earn his Bachelors of Pharmacy Degree in 1950 from Ferris Institute. Bob owned and operated the West End Drug Store in Escanaba, MI and then moved to Port Huron in 1975, where he worked for Kmart Pharmacy. He retired after over 50 years of work as a pharmacist.
He was quite the softball player as a young man, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. He was a life-long member of Delta Lodge #195 Free and Accepted Masons of Escanaba, MI. In his free time, Bob enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Dr. Jon R. Krohmer and his wife, Polly Horton-Krohmer and Mark D. Krohmer; daughter, Mary C. Krohmer; grandchildren, Geoff (Leigh) Krohmer and Elizabeth (Craig) Wais; great grandchildren, Taylor and Oliver Krohmer; and dear friends, Jan Pryor and Gloria Bulau. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Lyberg; and close friend, George Bulau.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Friday, August 22, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home followed by Military Honors conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway, Michigan.
