Theofanis K Papanagiotou
Theofanis K. "Ted" Papanagiotou, 63, of Marysville, died Thursday, May 3, 2012.
He was born January 30, 1949 in Athens, Greece to the late Konstantinos and Maria Papanagiotou. He married Fotini Banias on June 17, 1979 in St. Clair Shores.
Mr. Papanagiotou, fondly known as Chief, owned the Four Star Restaurant in Marysville, which he co-founded in June of 1980. Ted was committed to his business and could almost always be found in the kitchen or talking with customers in the front booth. He was especially supportive of children and youth and loved being involved in his community. Ted was also a skilled mechanic who enjoyed working on cars. He was a member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, was incredibly devoted to his family, and had a special spot in his heart for all his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Fotini; three daughters, Roula Papanagiotou and fiance Danny Lucci; Maria (Nick) Cavis and Ntina Papanagiotou; a brother, Dimitri Papanagiotou; a sister-in-law, Cathy Telegadas; a brother-in-law, Larry Telegadas; nieces and nephews, Maria (Simon) Davis, Georgia (Leo) Stathakis, Louie (Chantele) Telegadas and Christina (Chris) Skillas; and his Four Star family.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. Father Nick Kyritses of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Telegadas, Costa Telegadas, Paul Pozios, Christopher Pozios, Billy Pozios, Evan Pozios, Billy Caruso, Evans Caruso, Bill Pozios, Evans Pozios, Tony Margaret and Dimitri Vasilos.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Greek Orthodox Church.
