Marilyn Lois DeFrain

Marilyn Lois DeFrain, 86, of Port Huron, died Sunday, August 17, 2025.

She was born December 9, 1938 in Romeo to the late Bert and Laura Miller. She married Russel F. “Fred” DeFrain on June 13, 1958 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron. They were married for 65 years before his passing on September 22, 2023.

Marilyn worked at Sears for many years spending time in several departments, including the lawn and garden department where she ended her time. She enjoyed tending her flower garden and watching birds, but above all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Karen Reif, Robert DeFrain and Richard (Patricia) DeFrain; five grandchildren, Michael Reif, Emilie (Adam) Gleason, Daniel DeFrain, Chloe DeFrain, and Amie DeFrain; her great granddaughter, Laura Grace Gleason; her sister, Fern (Paul) Oliver and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marla Taylor and her daughter-in-law, Astrid DeFrain.

Private graveside services will be held in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
