Frederick L Gardner

Frederick L. Gardner, 79, of Kimball Township, died peacefully at home Friday, August 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 16, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Stephen and Grace Gardner.

Frederick was a 1965 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam as a frontman and after his honorable discharge was employed by the Chrysler Corporation for many years until his retirement. Frederick enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his son, Steven (Lisa) Gardner; daughter, Sandra Lee Gardner; stepson, Justin (Sonya) Sawdon; granddaughter, Justine; three sisters, Ruthann (Thomas) Campbell, Judy Smith and Tina (Barry) Moses; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Clint Vincent.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Allied Veterans Memorial Cemetery Columbarium. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
