Carol Suyak

October 12th, 1948 to May 6th, 2012
Carol Suyak, 63, of Marysville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, May 6, 2012 following a prolonged illness.

She was born October 12, 1948 in Stone, Kentucky to the late Forrest and Eloise Hays. She married James Suyak on June 15, 1974.

Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with friends, especially at the Junction Buoy. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan who also enjoyed watching the Red Wings and Pistons. Carol was particularly proud of her Appalachian roots. She spent her years here on Earth acting as an angel, assisting with and providing medical care for others, often at their most vulnerable time of life. She will now spend eternity as God's angel in heaven, undoubtedly trying to help everyone she can.

Carol is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jim; two sons, Michael (Maren) Suyak and Patrick (Nicole) Suyak; two grandchildren, Lily and the soon-expected child of Michael and Maren; three brothers, Ronald (Patt) Hays, Robert (Jeanette) Hays and Richard (Jackie) Hays; close confidant, Christine Dowd and her family; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by a nephew, David; and close friend, Bill Dowd.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Scripture Service and time of remembrance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Suyak will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Arthur Baranowski will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ronald, Robert & Richard Hays, Jim Fanto, Bill Dowd, Mary Allam, Dennis Hays and Chuck Seasons. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole, Luke & Will Dowd.

Memorial contributions may be made to Full Circle House of Prayer, Port Huron.
