Jesse R Arnold Jr.

Jesse Roger Arnold Jr., 88, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

He was born February 23, 1937 in Inkster. He married Delores R. Dezewiecki on June 10, 1961 in New Haven. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2012 after 50 years of marriage.

Jesse was employed with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 30 years and then worked at Walmart for another 29 years. He was active with the Port Huron Host Lions Club since 1959, serving in many capacities at both the local and district level, including being past president. He and his wife, Delores, traveled worldwide with the Lions and after her death, his children and grandchildren continued to accompany him to international conferences around the world. Jesse also coached for the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association for 30 years and bowled in the Service Club bowling league for 60 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Mattox and Suzanne Arnold; three grandchildren, Allison (Chris Shuman) Mattox, Joshua (Zana) Mattox and Brandan Arnold; and four great grandchildren, Lily Mattox, Brody Mattox, Terrence Schott and Bentley Arnold.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
