Ricky W Rock "Rocketman"

Ricky William "Rocketman" Rock, 65, of Kimball Township, died Saturday, September 20, 2025.

He was born August 16, 1960 in Port Huron to Larry and the late Donna Rock. He married Kay A. Solomon on October 21, 1989 in Port Huron.

Rick honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1981 and then in the Reserves. After his service, Rick was employed as a gravel train driver with Richmond Transport for many years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, watching boxing, and for the past 34 years, breeding and raising his beloved boxer dogs. More than anything else, though, Rick loved spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing with his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; two children, Jessica Rock (Jason Schott) and Michael Caughill; grandchildren, Jessie, Darren and Mason; father, Larry (Judy) Rock; siblings, Becky (Dave) Herr, Tonia Rock (Kyle), Joe (Nicole) Rock and J.R. Rock (Heather); several nieces and nephews including Matthew and Megan Herr; and sister-in-law, Terry (Ken) Robinson. In addition to his mother, Rick was preceded in death by his in-laws, Thelma and Russell Solomon; and brother-in-law, Thomas Solomon.

Graveside services at the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium will be announced. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
