Eileen A Wessel

Eileen A. Wessel, 98, of Port Huron, died Monday, September 22, 2025.

She was born on January 30, 1927, in Port Huron to the late Cyril and Sarah Essenmacher. She married Leo F. Wessel on August 9, 1952, in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1994, after 41 years of marriage.

Eileen was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul, Mid City Nutrition, Blue Water Community Food Depot and loved going on walks.

She is survived by five children, Michael (Cheryl) Wessel, Theresa Wessel, Susan (Chris) Streeter, Gregory (Annalisa) Wessel and Carol (Ray) Szewc; daughter-in-law, Susan Wessel; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Luella Thompson, Coni (Bob) Kaiser and Lily (Larry) Rader; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Charles Wessel; and 12 siblings, Alvin, Arnold, Ronald, Albert, Dennis, Michael and Susan Essenmacher, Collette Lohr, Rita Wiza, Regina Watchoski, Doris Gahn, Vivian Ennett and Linda Adams.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Holy Trinity Parish at St. Joseph Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jodye Streeter, Pieter Wessel, Tim Wessel, James Szewc.
