Daniel R Caughill

Daniel Robert Caughill, 71, of Fort Gratiot, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025.

He was born June 29, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Karl and Eva Caughill. He married the love of his life, Denise Anderson, on May 18, 1974 in Port Huron.

Daniel was a C & C Machinist at Inter-Lakes Bases in Fraser for many years before his retirement. He cherished time spent fishing with his sons, was passionate about hunting and loved nothing more than being in the woods. A talented handyman, he was always busy with projects around the house and took pride in cooking and grilling for family and friends. He was a true American Patriot.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Denise; four children, Derek Caughill, Dana (Patrick) Crottie, Dustin Caughill (Crystal Fuller) and Daycee Caughill (Richard Chantelau); three grandchildren, Sierra and Rylee Crottie and Dillon Caughill; brother-in-law, Ken (Sandy) Anderson; sister-in-law, Diane Anderson; and a niece and nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Loretta Anderson; and best friend, Bob Forbes.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home followed by a time of sharing.
