Marvin T. Allen

Marvin Thomas Allen, 84, of Wales Township, died Monday, September 29, 2025.

He was born May 4, 1941 in Ann Arbor to the late John and Estella Allen.

Marv was very organized and affectionately known by his family as the “keeper of the stuff.” He was a hard worker and enjoyed staying busy helping others. Marv also had a playful side and loved teasing his family and friends with practical jokes. In his later years, he enjoyed watching TV, especially sports.

He is survived by a daughter, Margie Allen; three grandchildren, Jefrey (Terri) Allen, Shawn (Teresa) Whittington and Misty Allen; 10 great grandchildren, Tia, Ava, Mia, Kayla, Liam, Shawna, Kayden, Faith, Aiden and Abbriella; two great great grandchildren, Toby and Melisa; two nieces, Sharon (Dave) Winfield and June (Norb) Klatt; nephew, Steve (Sue) Galatioto; seven great nieces and great nephews, Melanie (Bill) Moser, Jennifer (Bill) Wert, Nancilyn (Eric) Haddix, David (Katie) Winfield, Wayne Maynard, Raelyn Galatioto and Paige Glod (Wendell Powell); 17 great-great nieces and nephews, Alicia, Alex, Reed, Jenna, Evan, Austin, Wesley, Jase, Troy, Melody, Lucas, Archer, Mina, Christopher, Alyssa, Ryan and Wendell; and a great-great-great niece, Callie. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jacqueline (Joe) Galatioto and Dolores (Eddie L.) Kirby; and two nephews, Tom Kirby and Joe Galatioto.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Philip Neri Cemetery, Columbus Township.
