Teddy "Ted" R. Thompson

Teddy “Ted” Russell Thompson, 77, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

He was born August 3, 1948 in St. Clair and graduated in 1966 from Port Huron High School. Ted then served proudly in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He completed his military career with in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1973. After his service, he made a career in furniture sales and maintenance. He was a long-time member of Community Baptist Church in Kimball. Ted loved music, cars, church and family gatherings.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ingram; children, Lisa Thompson (Fred), Tiffany Thompson, and Ryan (Jeni) Thompson; grandchildren, Collin, Kaitlyn, and Clayton; siblings, Sherron “Sherry” (Bob) Reaume, Barry Thompson, Brian (Dorothy “Dot”) Thompson, Patricia “Patty” Manning, James Thompson Jr., and Charles “Charlie” Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ted was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Marie Thompson and James Arlan Thompson Sr., who he called “dad”; and his five-year-old brother, Samuel “Sammy”.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 13, 2025 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor James Jones will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Barry Thompson, Larry VanBeek, Dennis Jones, Tony Nouhan, Christian Goddard, Brian Thompson, and Joel Andstat. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
