Dorothy A Tucker

Dorothy Ann Tucker, 87, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Port Huron, died Friday, October 17, 2025.

She was born February 21, 1938 in Port Huron to the late James and Mary McNaughton. She married Gerald “Jerry” Tucker December 31, 1996.

Dorothy graduated from Port Huron High School. In her younger years, she helped out on the family farm by milking cows. Dorothy was employed at a bank for several years and also worked as a secretary who helped deliver parts. However, her most important job was being a devoted homemaker. She gardened for many years, growing a variety of vegetables including green peppers that were as big as softballs. More recently, she enjoyed baking, making lots of sweet treats for her husband and to share with their wonderful neighbors. She was a longtime member of the Port Huron Yacht Club.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry; children, William McGinnis and Julie Murphy; step-children, Jaqueline (Marty) Bissell, Carrie (Tom) Lassiter, Lori Ann Tucker, Kevin G. Tucker, and Aaron M. (Sabrina) Tucker; sisters, Katherine Lester, Martha (Wayne) Yeates, and Marilyn (Ken) Oles; brothers, George (Jacqueline) McNaughton, Gary (Sandy) McNaughton, Ross (Diana) McNaughton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert McGinnis; step-daughter, Linda Tucker Royer; sisters, Lorraine McNaughton, Edna Mae Murray, and Virginia VanThornout.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visiting beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
