Curtiss D DeLong

Curtiss Duane DeLong, 85, of Marysville, died Saturday, October 25, 2025.

He was born September 23, 1940, in Deckerville to the late Gordon and Lavena DeLong. He married Nancy Rutkofske on June 17, 1961 in Marysville. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2020.

Curtiss was a truck driver for Meyers Moving and Storage for over 40 years until his retirement in 2005. He was a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golfing and hunting. Curtiss loved his dogs, especially beagles.

He is survived by two sons, David (Colleen) DeLong and Dennis DeLong; a daughter, Deborah (John) Walker; grandchildren, Zachary (Melissa) Walker, Chanel Walker (Richard Trudo) and Sabrina (John) Daft; great grandchildren, Harper, Tucker and Larkin Walker and Bentley Daft; and siblings, Phyllis Jacobson, Glen DeLong and Gary (Doris) DeLong. He was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Debbie DeLong; and siblings, Barbara Duckworth, Joyce Hirschfeld and Beverly Wieland.

Private family burial was held in Riverlawn Cemetery.
