Carl W French

Carl Walter French, 84, of Marysville, died on Monday, October 27, 2025.

He was born on November 25, 1940 in Detroit to the late Byron and Lucille French. He married Juanita Hazelwood on June 9, 1969 in Warren.

Carl honorably served in the United States Army. He was employed at General Motors for 20 plus years. Carl was a life member of the Masonic Organization, Shriners, and Knights Templar. He loved to hunt, and above all spend time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Juanita; children, Deborah (Neal) Probert, Judy Simpson, Byron (Rhonda) French and Barry (Shelly) French; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Mitchell.

Visitation will be held from noon to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Marysville Funeral Home with a Masonic service being held at 5:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025 in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
