Tawny "TJ" Ashton

Tawny Joe “TJ” Ashton, 64, of Port Huron, died Thursday, October 30, 2025.

He was born May 29, 1961 in Pontiac to the late Richard and June Ashton. He married Debra Ann King on May 22, 2024 in Port Huron.

TJ proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Later, he worked as a truck driver and floral delivery driver, as well as in restaurant management. He loved fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Debra. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Ashton and June Ackerman; and his brother, Colin.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Gateway Church, Marysville with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Alex Boese will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Columbarium, Port Huron.
